Preparations for the opening night and press launch of Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant at the Trianon Palace Hotel in Versailles just outside Paris. That evening renowned restaurant critics from newspapers and magazines from both sides of the Channel would be in attendance. Tensions were running high as Mr Ramsay divided himself between his duties overseeing the kitchen for that evening’s service and his duties in front of the assembled members of the press.
